So these Three images are the ones I have picked to represent the textile designs I want to create. I was finding it difficult to focus my direction on what i wanted to create, so I thought choosing images would help choose the direction for me. These images inspire me and my fabulous glittery creative brain goes into overdrive in the possibilities of things i could design.
They all have a similar colour pallet, but are unique in their own right. Nina Hagen's hair and fashion from the late 70's/early 80's creates a platform in which i can add inspiration from 1980's graphics. The editorial based on Japanese Harajuku fashion gives a fun, cute element with possibilities of cartoon designs. The pineapple image has something i gravitate towards naturally. And that is shiny glittery gems. The composition is very 1980's, and the pineapple itself suggests a tropical tacky vibe.
Now i need to start drafting some ideas!
